Latest update

The event planning has now entered its final phase with the ‘big’ day just days away.

I trust your cars are prep’d and ready to go - MOTs up to date etc. Navigators will be relieved to know that the transport link sections are being covered by a route book which will be issued at signing-on - no pre-plotting needed for this year.

Please check that you have your Motorsport UK licence and up to date Club membership card required for both crew members.

Remember the event is run on maps 109, 117 and 118. There will be an extract of the relevant section of map 109 in your signing - on pack, but you will need the most recent versions of maps 117 & 118.

Our scrutineering venue has changed (again) and will be at Reaseheath College on the outskirts of Nantwich - about 20 minutes from junction 16 on the M6. On the subject of the M6 there is a long stretch in the junction 14 - junction 15 area where there are roadworks - installing more Smart motorway equipment. There is getting on for 20 miles of 50mph speed restrictions and restricted Lane widths - often with the related traffic issues. If you are travelling North to join us you will be well advised to check the traffic reports or consider using the A41/A49.

Are you a novice and beginner? - if so don’t forget the ‘teach in’ to be given by Graham Raeburn on the Friday night at the Bickerton Poacher. We had very positive reports back from crews after our last event about how useful they found his guidance.

Well, I now need to go off and mark the location of those road controls - so at least the marshals can find them before you get there!

I, and the team from KDMC, look forward to seeing you at signing-on at the Bickerton Poacher on Friday March 1st and of course on the event itself on Saturday March 2nd.
