Latest Update No 7
23-02-2026
The good news is that despite all the rain, we currently only have six locations where the route is completely flooded but none of these are very deep. However, we have several road closures to deal with. One undoubtedly will cause a re-route, and more related PR work.
The Club photocopier is now running flat out in readiness for Thursday when the competitors and officials' rally packs will be put together. The focus for the beginning of this week is sorting out the impact of the road closures and planning the re-routes needed.
Competitors and Marshals: Please 'sign on' now if you haven't already done so, it will save you a last-minute panic. Competitors, please make sure you have valid membership cards for the event and the appropriate Motorsport UK licence.
Scrutineering, and navigation paperwork collection, on the Friday evening (March 6th) is at Reaseheath College, Nantwich. As in previous years due to other activities at the College we don't have access until 5.30 and they are not allowing any trailer parking / unloading at the College. Trailer parking is confirmed at the same venue as 2025 a few miles away from Reaseheath.
The final instructions will contain new additional details, including the arrangements for scrutineering, so we request crews read these carefully as soon as they are issued. These are there to help make everyone's life a bit easier. The overview map with the Final Instructions will show event locations - trailer parking, scrutineering / document collection/ start & finish venue / the new calibration routes this year, so don't just go the ones we have used previously!
Don't forget Graham Raeburn, of Rally Navigation Training Services one of our event sponsors, is running a pre-event training session on Friday 6 March for those new to regularity rallying, and not familiar with regularity navigation plotting or those who might need a refresher course - see regulations document for details.
See you all on Friday.
